By airplane
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport
Porto’s Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) is situated 11 km northwest of the center. It is serviced by some 20 airline companies which operate both business class and low cost flights.
The airport transfer means are highly reliable, Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport being accessible by both public means of transport (buses and metros) and private means (rented cars and taxis).

By train
São Bento Train Station
São Bento Train Station is located in central Porto, in Praça Almeida Garrett, being the terminal of regional trains which travel between Porto and sundry north destinations such as Braga, Viana do Castelo and Duoro.

Campanhã Train Station
Campanhã Train Station is the terminal of trains leaving for and arriving all over the country. Moreover the station is also used by trains which establish international railway connections.

By car
Porto is literally surrounded by motorways, meaning the city enjoys excellent road connections with the entire Portugal. Thus, for instance, A1 links Porto to Lisbon, A4 provides the connection to Tras-os-Montes, whereas A3 reaches all the way to Minho. Either by bus or by car, Porto can be reached from virtually all corners of the country.
