Materials for PEM fuel cells

Nathalie Job is a chemical engineer and Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Liège (Belgium). She is co-Director of the Nanomaterials, Catalysis and Electrochemistry (NCE) laboratory.

Her research field is focused on materials manufacture and assembly for electrochemical systems, such as fuel cells and batteries.

Main topics go from the development of nanostructured materials to be included in electrodes to the design of full cells using innovative, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes.

Safety-related activities in the FCH 2 JU

Project Officer at the Operations’ Unit of FCH 2 JU. Holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering in Electrical Engineering, a BSc in Industrial Electronics and Control Engineer, an MSc in Renewable Energy and an MSc in Fuel Cells and Super capacitors. Before joining the FCH 2 JU, he has gained extensive experience in technical and management positions in both public and private sectors. His career, spanning close to two decades, has been highly focused on research and innovation projects in the transport, environment and energy sectors.

Hydrogen Generation on Gigawatt scales: Is the SoA Electrolysis ready for that?

Professor for Fuel Cell Technology at University of Stuttgart and Head of the Electrochemical Energy Technology Department at the German Aerospace Center. His research areas are electrochemical energy conversion and storage, in particular PEMFC and electrolysis, SOFC, system design and optimization.

Author and coauthor of more 200 reviewed papers. Laureate with Fischer medal (Dechema) (2009) and Ertl prize (2014) for his scientific work.

Green H2 Business Models and Bankability

Joined APREN in 2018 to take the CEO position. With 22 years experience in Top Management positions, he worked for AfDB, Mitsubishi/METITO, Mota-Engil, SACYR/SOMAGUE, IDOM, among others. In 2020 was invited to become a board member of the Portuguese Water Partnership, given the Green H2 development and water constraints and requirements.

Pedro has postgrad as Green Energy Finance Specialist from RENAC, an Executive MBA in Finance and Operations from IESE/AESE as well as a MsC in Mechanical Engineering from IST - Instituto Superior Técnico.
